MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN OUR COMMUNITY!
The summer of 2015 was the sixth year that Cornerstone Church sponsored “Summer Serve,” a program in which we partner with charitable organizations to serve those in need. We want to be good news in our community and Summer Serve is a great opportunity for our families and neighbors to serve through hands-on projects, while teaching our children the importance of helping others.
Projects we did in 2015:
- Made lap blankets and hospital gowns for Hospice of NE Georgia
- Built memory boxes for youth grief camp sponsored by Hospice of NE Georgia
- Collected canned/dry food and raised funds for Duluth Co-op
- Provided lunches for Rainbow Village kids summer camp program
- Built picnic tables for Rainbow Village
- Wrote letters to women at Arrendale State Prison
- Provided school backpacks and supplies for children in foster care with Gwinnett Department of Children and Family Services
- Provided lawn care for Duluth Co-op and Gwinnett Senior Services
Cornerstone Church is excited about this opportunity to work together to help our community. If you have questions or would like further information, send an email to info@cornerstoneduluth.org.
